The Sacrament of Reconciliation (also known as Penance) has three elements: conversion, confession and celebration. In it we find God’s unconditional forgiveness and reminds us we are called to forgive others. Confession is a place of healing, not a place of judgment or punishment. When we make our confidential confession to a priest we experience healing and liberation, discovering again and again how much we are loved by God, how precious we are to Him, and how great is our dignity as His children.
Do you want to receive the sacrament of reconciliation?
There are regularly scheduled times at each church where confession is offered. However, please feel free to call the parish to schedule time with the priest if these times do not work.
Do you want to have a first reconciliation for your child?
Children receive their first confession as part of the ongoing religious education program. Please call the parish office and ask to speak to the religious education coordinator who can address your questions and explain the timing and location for all religious education at both St. Peter’s in Gunnison and Queen of All Saints in Crested Butte.
